Les Brown and friend at Manx Harriers' quiz night last Saturday that raised £700 for the island's young walkers. (ML)

Final round of the Bank of Scotland International League

(Pictures by Murray Lambden)

The race was moved from the NSC to the TT access road because of a problem with the booking.

Peter Kaneen was well clear in the sealed handicap.

Marie Latham set another personal best at 5km.

Dougie Corkill (above) likes to impersonate the style of a different international walker in each race. On Sunday he claimed he was walking in the style of Commonwealth Games 50km silver medallist Craig Barrett (pictured below at the games in Manchester). "More like the style of his grandfather" commented someone on the sidelines rather harshly!

RESULTS FROM BRIDGET KANEEN

Results of the final races of the series held in ideal, sunny and calm conditions.  All races mass start with sealed handicap to decide race winners.

RESULTS AND MORE PICTURES

Kaneen at the double

I try to use photographs of as many different people as possible but sometimes people deserve to be featured time and time again. Husband and wife Peter and Bridget fall into that category. On Sunday Peter backed up his personal best of 2 and half minutes in the Steam Packet 20km with another fast time while it was Bridget's turn to set a personal best of 54.17.

Meanwhile there is another family double act who are rather good at race walking but rather than show Steve & Cal again, here is a picture of Tom & Finn watching on Sunday.

Sue Biggart was third in the handicap series.

Claire Hammill enjoyed the 5km. Her 2 5kms in the winter league were only 8 seconds apart.
