Tynwald Day Photos – a Parish Walk theme

Five times Parish Walk winner Robbie Callister calls to see how Vera Jones is recovering after her recent illness.

And Parish Walk runner up Ray Pitts was relaxing with his wife Glyn.

Eight times Parish Walk finisher Roey Crellin was helping her friends at the St Johns tearooms.

Mitch and Celia Joughin also had Parish Walk fame this week when they appeared at Jurby on Sky TV’s coverage. They have been recording at Jurby for 30 years. I think the photo of Celia, the former Boundary Harriers stalwart worker, is even less flattering than last time she appeared on the site. Sorry Celia!

Even Nigel Armstrong (right), the fastest Manxman in the London Marathon for the past two years has a Parish Walk connection. He was described on Sky as being a race walking judge when attending to third placed Michael George. He is pictured with Robbie Lambden.  (Photos by Murray)

NEW SEARCH FACILITY BRINGS ALL MANX SITES TOGETHER is an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden.

The site was updated daily for three and a half years until June 2004 when the webeditor took a sabbatical. It now serves as a portal for Manx athletes with special features on a few events and ad hoc publishing when time permits without giving in to the addiction! Old features can be found by using the Google search below or by using the old features page. The clubs are encouraged to develop their own sites to promote their events. will complement the coverage with statistics and extra pictures but, most of all, if will try and highlight the content of other sites and give everyone a chance to air their views on the forum. which is edited by Paul Jackson, is the highly recommended sister site of
