Robbie Callister not only won the Clerical Medical Parish Walk in the second fastest time ever at the weekend, he was also first to get a scoop photograph last week. He re-presented the Parish Walk trophy to Stanley Cleator who returned to the Isle of Man for the first time for many years for the launch of Dermot O'Toole's Parish Walk book.

(Nearly) everyone's a winner - guests at Ottaker's bookshop on Thursday night included the majority of winners since 1960.

End to End Walk 2005 by David Griffiths

Long-distance walking enthusiasts should note that the 2005 White & Healthy End to End Walk will take place on Sunday 25th September, starting at 8am at the Point of Ayre. This annual classic follows a 39-mile route down the west of the island, finishing at the Sound. The Under-21 race finishes at Peel (all competitors must be aged 18 or over on the day of the race). Whilst the attentions of most are presently focused on the Parish Walk, the popular End to End Walk has seen a great upsurge in interest in recent years, and this year is sure to be no exception. The organisers, the Isle of Man Veteran Athletes' Club, are delighted that Ramsey Bakery will continue to sponsor the event this year. Further details regarding entries etc will be published at a later date.

manxathletics.com is an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden.

The site was updated daily for three and a half years until June 2004 when the webeditor took a sabbatical. It now serves as a portal for Manx athletes with special features on a few events and ad hoc publishing when time permits without giving in to the addiction! Old features can be found by using the Google search below.

manxharriers.com which is edited by Paul Jackson, is the highly recommended sister site of manxathletics.com
