A new name on the winners trophy for 2009- Martin Malone of Manx Harriers (no135) in a time of 56m 05s

In second place, just 13 seconds behind, was last years winner Ed Gumbley of the host club (no 138) who suffered a nasty fall on the final turn into the TT Access Road.  Christian Varley, also of Manx Harriers (centre) was a fine third in 58:28.

Samantha Cowen is the first name on the magnificent new Brian H. Goldsmith Memorial Trophy kindly donated by Brian’s family in his memory for the first lady finisher in the Peel to Douglas Run. Sam’s winning time was 71:16, just over two minutes clear of second lady Gail Griffiths. Third lady overall was Sally Walker
