She was second lady finisher in the Boundary Stroll last September and recorded 42:38 in the Easter Festival 10K last month. With an earlier start time of 8am for this years Parish Walk, could one of them be the first person to start and finish the 85 mile event in the same day?. (photo Martin Critchley) Right: Dawn Yates (109) was third lady finisher behind Micky Swindale and ahead of close rival Gail Griffiths also pictured above. Dawn & Gail had a real ding – dong battle over the Easter Festival weekend with just 8 seconds difference between them in their aggregate times over the 3 events. (photo by Murray Lambden) Unattached runners Mark Clague (131) & Paul Dickinson (154) ran impressively to claim 6th & 7th places respectively. Mark was also 6th in last years race and his time was just over a minute quicker this year in 1:12:23. He was also 3rd fastest local finisher in the London Marathon just 8 days earlier in time of 3:01:23. Paul ran the Peel to Douglas for the first time to complete in 1:12:41.
