 One of the highlights of the athletics year will take place on Saturday 2nd March 2013, The Ascot Hotel sponsored Manx Harriers Open Meeting, to be held on the perimeter road at the National Sports Centre in Douglas. The meeting  attracts top-class race walkers from the UK, Ireland and sometimes beyond, as well as our top locals. It is a great opportunity for local walkers to compete in the same meeting as several world-class athletes, or even just to watch top athletes in action and learn good race walking technique from the experts. As always, Manx Harriers will endeavour to make the weekend as full and enjoyable as possible for both visiting athletes and locals by arranging a very informal social on the Saturday evening (details to follow) at The Ascot Hotel (details to follow). We hope to see many of our friends who have supported the meeting in the past, and would be delighted to see some new faces in 2013.





10.00 hrs – 1 Km (male and female, age under 15)

11.00 hrs – 3Km (male and female, age under 13 and under 15)

11.00 hrs – 5Km (ages 13+ male and female)

11.00 hrs – 10Km (ages 15+ male and female)

11.00 hrs – 20Km (male and female ages 17 and over).

14.30 hrs – 10Km Run (male and female age 15 and over on day of race)

the ages for the  walking events are as at 1st September 2012
