There were two great battles throughout the race to settle the top four places. Michael George (755) struggled to stay with eventual winner Jock Waddington over the closing stages and Allan Callow finished stongly to beat Marie Latham (516) and claim 3rd spot.

Murray Lambden entered Thursday nights 5K walk on the TT Access Road for fun after reading this weeks Athletics Weekly Club Focus feature on Manx Harriers. The fun looks to have lasted for approximately 1K as Murray took his first competitive racewalking steps for 7 years much to the delight and surprise of other participants, officials & spectators.
