MANX HARRIERS RESULTS

Peter Kaneen with
Manx Harriers president, and president
of Tynwald (the Manx parliament), Noel
Cringle.

The start of the Manx
Harriers 50km walk just after 10 am.

Jeff Cassin had Andi
Drake for company for the first hour
an a half. Cassin (10) had pulled well
clear at half way
.
Steve Partington was
tracked by Peter Kaneen in the early
stages but was firmly established in
third by 12 o’clock.

But an hour later, the
top three had all retired and Peter
Kaneen, who walked a very sensible race
throughout, went on to take victory.
He was on course for a sub 4.30
clocking until the last few laps.

Andi Drake was certainly
not going to dehydrate. He had a carefully
prepared schedule detailing which lap
every drink was to be taken.
