Five of the record 50 or so Manx athletes who ran in London traveled on the Flybe flight to London City on Friday afternoon.

A spot of trouble for Paul Curphey. He was given the wrong number in his envelope. When the problem was eventually solved, he came away without any of the special ties to attach to micro chip.

An old friend of Manx athletics was helping out on the Bourne Sports stand. Amos Seddon, the former international race walker and coach who has visited the Island many times and was my roommate on my international debut, went to school with the founder of Bourne Sports, John Bourne.
