Athletes who completed

4 events

Last year's top three: Tony Conway, Paul Jackson & Les Brown - Paul has detailed the plans for a Laa Columb Killey revival below.

Laa Columb Killey Traditional Parish Fair

Thursday 24th June 2004.

Meteorological racewalker Adrian Cowin has taken on responsibility for organising the sports events in the Laa Columb Killey Fair which will be held on Thursday 24th June. I shall be teaming up with Adrian to organise and promote the 5 mile 'Marathon' run and race walk.

These events once attracted large fields of local athletes and fun runners, but sadly over recent years numbers have declined with only 4 runners and 6 racewalkers taking part last year. This year we hope to revive these events with plenty of promotion & publicity.

In the interests of safety I have agreed with Graham Davies from the IOMAA to conduct a full risk assessment of the course and provide appropriate course signing and marshals, in return for the issuing of an official road race permit.

Watch this space for more details soon.
