The camera never lies! Neil Bates was too fast
for the start of the race when Gail Musson took
yesterday's picture but she caught the winner here
at 11.23am.
Taylor, Taylor & Taylor were
the winners of three of the four races at Andreas
on Sunday. Kirsty Taylor won the junior 1km, brother

A great day for walking and an excellent turnout.
55 competitors with 37 in the 10km was bettered
only by the first event of last years series. There
were 13 new names at 10km for this year although
they are not new to walking. (e.g. Graham Young,
Gordon Corran, Karen Locking, Sue Biggart, Enid
Watson to name a few.)
There were some very good performances making
the most of the ideal conditions. Most notable for
me Fay Latham in the Junior 2km, and Les Crowe and
Dave Griffiths in the 10km. It was good to see Graham
Young competing as griity and determined as ever,
and the return of Kevin Walmsley seemingly effortless
doing 51.13 off minimal training.
