WHITE AND HEALTHY END TO END WALK SHORTENED BY 10 MILES DUE TO FOG

Race stopped at Eairy Cushlin (approximately 29.5 miles)

5 out of 5 for Robbie Callister

FULL RESULTS

Robbie Callister on his way to the Round Table - the only walker to get that far. As he had already passed Eairy Cushlin before the decision was made to abandon the walk, his time at the "finish" was estimated.

The roads were pretty busy at Ballaugh Cronk when this group of cyclists chose the same road as the walkers for their training.

Ann Henrard and Wendy Senogles at Kirk Michael.

Rob Wright, Dermot O'Toole and Jim Harvey have no time to look at the views.

Birthday girl: Mary Mason competed on her birthday.

Second placed Robbie Lambie (top left receiving a drink from wife Lynda) was struggling with cramp when the picture was taken - little did he know he was so close to the finish! Third placed Ray Pitts (top right) was planning to retire at 50km due to a recurrence of back injury but the finish came even earlier. Michael George (bottom left) continued his fine form of 2006 to take fourth. The bottom right picture is of (left to right) Sue Biggart (7th and second woman), 5th placed and surprise package Tom Melvin and the resurgent women's winner Jane Kennaugh (sixth overall).

manxathletics.com is an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden.

The site was updated daily for three and a half years until June 2004 when the webeditor took a sabbatical. It now serves as a portal for Manx athletes with special features on a few events and ad hoc publishing when time permits without giving in to the addiction! Old features can be found by using the Google search below or by using the old features page. The clubs are encouraged to develop their own sites to promote their events. manxathletics.com will complement the coverage with statistics and extra pictures but, most of all, if will try and highlight the content of other sites and give everyone a chance to air their views on the forum.

manxharriers.com which is edited by Paul Jackson, is the highly recommended sister site of manxathletics.com
