Keith Gerrard set an unofficial record in the Dave Phillips Memorial Road Races on Tuesday night when he glided round to a stunning 19.42. Although he ran from the back of the field to the front, he was not officially the handicap winner as it was his first run in the series and therefore his time counts as his "scratch" performance.

Handicap winner of round 4 (of 7) was John Watterson who is seen pushing it flat out to the finish!

Meanwhile Mr & Mrs Ross (Gary and Wendy) race to decide who made the supper when they got in! In the background there is a blatent breach of the road safety regulations.

There were just 18 runners in the 4 mile run and 17 in the two mile. Does anyone know why?

manxathletics.com is an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden.

The site was updated daily for three and a half years until June 2004 when the webeditor took a sabbatical. It now serves as a portal for Manx athletes with special features on a few events and ad hoc publishing when time permits without giving in to the addiction! Old features can be found by using the Google search below.

manxharriers.com which is edited by Paul Jackson, is the highly recommended sister site of manxathletics.com
