Name the runners. You can just about see the entire field at the start of Creg-ny-Baa Fell Race. (Pic ML)

Simon Skillicorn was already on his way back down to Windy Corner as Richie Stevenson and Alan Bagley made their way up. Simon eventually finished a close second.(ML)

Overtaking with care. Tony Okell concentrates hard when passing Tom Cringle to move into second place.  Tony later passed Simon to win with Tom hanging on for third. (ML)

Waiting for the start. Fell runners are screened by the Snaefell Mountain Railway tram as they wait for the off in the Creg-ny-Baa Fell Race.

Allan Thomson puts everything into his run, as he always does. He leads Rob Webb, David Young, Andy Gosnell and Richard Sille whose 6th place was surely one of the runs of the day. (Pictures by Murray Lambden)

No hands. Michael George has his mobile phone in his right hand (does he ever go anywhere without it?) and he holds onto his backpack with his other. It doesn't leave a lot of arm movement for balance.

Head in hands. Brian Osbourne was at pains to demonstrate that he wasn't going flat out in his comeback race after injury. (photos Murray Lambden from the Creg-ny-Baa Fell Race)

National and international athletics sites is an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden.

The site was updated daily for three and a half years until June 2004 when the webeditor took a sabbatical. It now serves as a portal for Manx athletes with special features on a few events and ad hoc publishing when time permits without giving in to the addiction! Old features can be found by using the Google search below. which is edited by Paul Jackson, is the highly recommended sister site of
