RESULTS

Three great pictures by Stan Hall from the Bradda Fell Race.

Winner Simon Skillicorn (1), second placed Tony Okell (2) and sixth placed Robert Webb (8)

With the Arthur Jones Bradda Fell Race, sponsored by Ian Ronan Joiners, being held this Sunday, Ian Callister has produced a list of the fastest ever performances. Tony Okell (above) holds three of the four best times by a local runner but this picture was taken in 2003 when Lloyd Taggart beat his times and Tony recorded the slowest of his four times. (ML) Ian Callister, pictured during a round of the Northern AC cross country, is the compiler of the list and indeed most of the fell running stats. Ian has been competing in fell running on the Island, in the UK and abroad for around 30 years. He has also competed in the London Marathon more than any local athlete and will be running this year for the third year in a row in addition to the first 15 years. (ML)

David Young (7) and Rob Webb (8) proved that age is no barrier in sport when they finished 9th and 6th respectively in the Bradda Fell Race.

manxathletics.com is an independent site designed, edited and funded by Murray Lambden.

The site was updated daily for three and a half years until June 2004 when the webeditor took a sabbatical. It now serves as a portal for Manx athletes with special features on a few events and ad hoc publishing when time permits without giving in to the addiction! Old features can be found by using the Google search below or by using the old features page. The clubs are encouraged to develop their own sites to promote their events. manx.athletics.com will complement the coverage with statistics and extra pictures but, most of all, if will try and highlight the content of other sites and give everyone a chance to air their views on the forum.

manxharriers.com which is edited by Paul Jackson, is the highly recommended sister site of manxathletics.com
