Peter Hughes makes his move past Paul Curphey to set a personal best of 2 hours 5 minutes 19 seconds to win the Castletown Health Stores 20 miles. Curphey was second in 2.06.11 to finish in the top 3 for the 10th year in a row. Paul Dickinson, who ran the London Marathon in 3.26 last year, ran 2.15 for 3rd on Sunday and his target of breaking 3 hours is on the cards. The start of the race at 9.33 this morning. Paul Curphey zooms into a 30 second lead. Peter Hughes stays with Dave Young and John Grady. A little further back Dave Corrin, Peter Cooper and Rob Webb work hard together. Paul Curphey and Peter Hughes are well ahead but John Grady (237) and Dave Young (242) and joined by Richard Radcliffe and Paul Trees (226) with eventual third place Paul Dickinson a little further behind. Peter caught Paul in the second half and for a few laps they played cat and mouse. Paul is ahead again. But Peter was back in front when this one was taken. Here comes the winner.
