Just 15 places remain for the Tower Insurance 100 mile walk and 24 hour challenge on 3 & 4 August. 85 of the 100 places have been snapped up.

Michael George reports that one of the 85 entrants from Sweden is a member of an extremely successful Swedish walking family. Christer Svensson has 20km and 50km personal bests of 1:26:02 and 4:23:25. His younger brother Frederik has competed in the world championships. Their younger sister Monika has a world best of 4:10:59 for 50km.

Erin Taylor Talcott, a 4:33 50k walker who took on the men in USA Olympic trial race, is set to take on 200+ laps of the National Sports Centre.
