Winter Walking League Round 5

The final round of the Up & Running Winter Race Walking League is being held on Sunday 5th February at the National Sports Centre perimeter roadway.  Signing on is at the Manx Harriers Clubhouse from 9.30am for a 10am start.  

The junior events will be first to get underway, followed by the Senior 5k and 10k races which will be set off on handicap.  Refreshments will be served after the event and then the league prizes will be presented. Entry fees are £5 unattached £4 club members and £1 for all junior walkers. As ever help is required for lap recording and marshalling duties.  Please call Allan on 473354 or Bridget on 497594 if you are able to help out

Judes Sportshall Athletics

The Manx Harriers team with their medals after Sundays competition. The day was historic in that the team was made up of athletes from both the eastern and southern training groups. The children all enjoyed the afternoons activities and were great ambassadors for the club in a very well organised competition organised by Western A.C. (thanks to Peter Kaneen)

Manx Harriers cross country athletes were in action at Witton Park, Blackburn on Saturday 7th January 2012 for the Lancashire Cross Country Championships winning 8 medals; Senior Women Team Gold, Sarah Astin U20W Gold, Murray Lambden V55 Gold, Niall Caley U11B Silver, Gail Griffiths V45 Silver, Vet Men Team Silver, Senior Men Team Bronze, Ollie Lockley U20M Bronze
