Winter Walking League 2005/6

Round 5  Andreas 29th January

Dave Turner of Yorkshire RWC paid another welcome visit to Island to support the specially arranged 20K event. Dave finished in 1hr 45m 36s just 4 seconds clear of Carolyn Brown, but eased up in the closing stages to provide enthusiastic support for Carolyn in her attempt to achieve a Commonwealth Games consideration time. Carolyn came agonisingly close missing out by just 40s (photo by Adrian Cowin)

Hogan's the hero again as Seamus (in green) makes in two wins in a row finishing almost 2 minutes clear of the rest of the field. Fastest time of the day came from Peter Kaneen (649) who retired from the 20K race at half distance due to the effects of a cold during the past week (photo by Adrian Cowin)
