I am disappointed I wasn’t visible because I remember doing it, writes Jonathan Leece in response to the photo from the opening of the NSC.  It was a horrible rainy day. I think it was September 1991 and I would have been 11 years old. I think, and it may be a long shot that that is my foot you can see between Leanne Surridge and Steve Ovett.

Anyway, left hand side is Tracey Lyness in front of her was Alix Morrey (unsure of spelling), next in NAC vest is Alison Cannon (now Hird and my next door but one neighbour!), next to her in NAC vest is Leanne Surridge. In front of Steve Ovett is Kevin Shimmell. Between Alison and Alix is Mitch Joughin’s daughter, Anna. And of course Sarah Dowling out in front. one more face over the shoulder of Leanne Surridge who is Danielle McCarrick.
