Turning back the clocks

Walkers in the Up & Running Winter League Walk on Sunday are being reminded to turn their clocks back the night before and so we are doing the same with this feature. When the corresponding league commenced 10 years ago it was just as the Foot & Mouth scare was over but John Watterson also reported how Graham Young was turning back the clocks with a win. One of the walkers taking part on Sunday will be Richard Wild and there is also a report of one his early walks from the same event nearly 25 years ago. Its quite alarming where that time has gone - quite a wake up call. How many miles have been clocked up in the intervening years. If you took part in the one hour walk - welcome back for a second time.

And some runners from 2001

(hiding their identities for when the photos were republished 10 years later!)
