18 year old Ben Wears of Redcar AC was the first ever visitor to win the Peel to Douglas Walk and the first person to cross the line before Steve Partington (when he has finished) since 1983. Ireland's Micheal Doyle was second (photos Murray Lambden) NB second correction to "youngest ever winner": Hadyn Gawne was only 16 when he won in 1963!
