Graham Young delivers the post today before retiring after 48 years as a postal worker.
Graham finished 4th in the 1974 Commonwealth Games 20 mile walk and is the second fastest British walker ever at 100 km. He was the local organiser when the world team race walking championships were held in the Isle of Man in 1985 and is a former secretary of the Isle of Man Athletics Association. He has coached many athletes and acts as judge in local events.
A few of his other many achievements include holding records in the TT Course and Parish Walks and winning just about every local walk. After a period of retirement he returned to win the 1992 Parish Walk 21 years after his previous attempt at the full distance when he set his record.
