Keith Gerrard in a field of his own. The runners line up; Keith heads straight to the front; within the first half mile he is thirty metres clear and after a mile and half he has the field to himself (pictures by Murray Lambden)
Reaching the top. Keith Gerrard reached new heights on Saturday at Blackburn.
Sarah Astin dominated her race from the start.
Taking five cameras and a tripod as hand luggage caused me some problems with security. I had my trusty 1995 Sony video, my 2007 Samsung DVD video, my 2007 Nikon D40 SLR and both my old HP digitals. The HP945 that the above was taken on was used for a few video clips of the junior races and for some zoom shots. The lads would not have known that this was being taken as they stood on the start line. What is going on? Caption please! (Murray)
Saturday fun below. Smile please!

Another one using the zoom facility of the HP945. Sarah Nelson and Bridget Kaneen are among those heading up the saucer.
It was Gianni Epifani's 11th Lancashire Cross Country Championships - equalling Paul Curphey's number of finishes (Andy Fox has finished 14). Gianni obviously enjoys it although you wouldn't think so if you listen and watch the following video clip (7 seconds).
Catriona Cox - always set a great example to others.
