To enable me to supply the best ever online coverage of the Clerical Medical Parish Walk at www.parishwalk.com I'm looking for the following to help me:

1. Someone to man the new helpdesk at the finish. Last year the organisers introduced a large plasma information screen (sponsored by Colebourns) showing times at the different churches. But my work in updating the website at the finish was distracted by people asking questions about where each walker was and when they were due at the finish (some even gave me the maiden names of people who had been married for several years!). This year I need someone to be dedicated to answering those queries using a Colebourn's laptop with internet access. I require someone (or a team) from about 11 pm through to 8 am).

2. People who can supply information and additional photos from around the course. It would be good to receive time checks in the bigger gaps between churches.

3. Someone with good technical skills to help with overnight production.

4. The only paid job! I need a cleaner between about 10 am and 4 pm (shorter hours considered - I can do some of the washing later!) to clean our holiday cottage at Port Soderick. If you want to get away from the Parish Walk for a few hours, I can offer top rates of pay. Without a cleaner, there is going to be a huge gap in website coverage compared to previous years!

if you can help, please email murray@manxathletics.com

Western AC - the class of 2002

In the early days of this website, before all the clubs had their own sites and before I said that I would never revert to daily updates (!), I used to try and cover every event in the Island - no wonder I failed!  Elaine Cain was the main contributor from Western AC and this was one of several photos she sent from the 2002 Western Club Championships.  With the passing of seven years I am sure that some of this group will have changed somewhat - I wonder how many of them are still competing.  It will be interesting to hear your memories of this fairly recent era on the forum.  Murray
