Paul Sheard caught Lloyd Taggart whilst he was still in sight of for the rest of the field. There were 92 finishers - equalling the opening round

Just 10 seconds separated 4th to 7th places. Peter Bradley (not in picture) took 4th from Tom Hughes (96), Paul Clarke (195) and Gianni Epifani (94). The latter two are both former winners of events in the winter hill league series. (SH)

Since 2001 there have been 32 races in the Isle of Man Bank Winter Hill League and this wonderful shot by Stan Hall includes the men who have won 23 of them. Lloyd Taggart (73), the leader and eventual winner, has won all six that he has entered with Simon Skillicorn (partly hidden in red shorts) notching up fourteen. Gianni Epifani (94) and Paul Clarke (black top) have two and one wins respectively but probably more before that. Other winners during the period under review were Tony Okell (six), Paul Sheard (two) and Ian Gale (one). Also in the photo is Tom Cringle who has finished runner up on four occasions. a position that Simon Skillicorn has finished eight times. In other words, during the past 32 races Simon has been first or second in all but 10.
