Haldane Fisher Syd Quirk Half Marathon

Kevin Loundes won the Syd Quirk at the third attempt having finished 7th and 3rd in the  past two years. He is pictured yards from the finish by Andy Boardman. Crouching next to IOMVAC officials Judy Morrey and Brenda Charlton is Stan Hall who took the remainder of the photos on this page.

Another brilliant run by Alan Postlethwaite who is thought to have broken his own over 60 Manx record by nearly 4 minutes. He is currently ranked 8th best in Britain in the age group.

Steve Partington, Ben Scott, Mike Garrett and Nigel Armstrong chill out after the run. In the best weather the event has event known in its 30 year history, hats (or even hair) were unnecessary to take part.

Catherine Jackson made her debut.

As did Clare Cashen.

Julie Cretney improved her 2006 time by half a minute.
