Team formation. Manx Harriers team mates left to right: Andy Fox, Ed Gumbley, Gianni Epifani, John Halligan, Kevin Loundes and Darren Gray. They didn't hog the whole of the top 6 at the finish though as Nigel Armstrong and Mike Garrett (also of Manx Harriers) split them. Mud, rain and wind is what we often expect in the cross country. But as Ian Astin's photo of Rachael Franklin shows, the opening round of the Manx Gas Challenge at Nobles Park in Douglas was held in fantastic sunny, dry and windless conditions.
