The picture (taken by my late mother, Gwelda Lambden) at the start of the 1979 Laxey Glen Horeshoe Fell Race has generated a fair amount of interest on the forum so here is the newspaper report which should help you identify the remaining runners. I've scanned it in to match the angle on my Mum's photo - it has nothing to do with the wine that I have been drinking!

To be fair to my Mum (who never touched any wine!) I think the photos (which I scanned about a year ago) were set at an angle. Whatever, winner Steve Kelly is flanked by myself and Martin Hudson.
